SMS Giveaway #2 - Handmade 241 Tote

Welcome to my second giveaway for the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!  The 241 Tote is one of my favourite bag patterns, and this one is made in some Spring/Summer fabrics for one of you!  It has a zippered exterior pocket, magnetic snap closure, two inside slip pockets, and is made with a mixture of designer fabrics.

Want to win this 241 tote for yourself?  I love online shopping, and thought I'd ask you all a question about it: what kind of purchases have you had success with buying online or is there a particular store you would recommend?

For a second entry, become a fan of my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter.  Just leave a second comment telling me which one you did.

Winner will be picked by random.org on May 25 after 5pm PST.  Will ship international.  Good luck!

My last online purchase was from Butterflybelle Boutique (handmade dolls and soft toys) - I have purchased a number of dolls and softies from her and they are all beautifully made.

I buy a lot of fabric online from etsy and amazon gets a lot of attention, too, for stuff I can't find locally (like toddler sneakers by crocs!)

I love buying supplies and such from various etsy shops. I really have the most success with them. plus fabric.com. :-)

I don't usually buy online a lot because I'm a "feeler". I like to feel the item in my hand before I purchase it. Thanks for the giveaway.

The bag is gorgeous - I'd love to win. I probably do most of my online shopping at Amazon.com since I love to read & my local library can't keep up with my needs. I get most of my fabric online from either www.fabric.com or www.fatquartershop.com. Thanks for the great giveaway.

JoyceLM said... #

I liked you on Facebook - does that count? Thanks for the chance to win.

I am terrible at online shopping, I always seem to find it cheaper in reallife shops after I have ordered online! But your bag is beautiful!

Trish said... #

Living in Canada, it's hard to get fabric shipped for a reasonable cost. I envy Americans who can often get free shipping from the big stores.

What a beautiful bag!

My favorite online store is Running Warehouse. I like that they have free shipping both ways, so I get to try things out and it doesn't cost me a small fortune in shipping costs if they don't work out.

I am chronically ill and getting out and shopping has become very hard for me so I do almost all my shopping online. Most of the time I have good experiences, and occasionally some bad ones. Amazon is always a safe bet, haven't had a bad experience with them yet. I also love The Container Store. Clothes are harder to buy online since I can't try them on, but Eddie Bauer has a great return policy as does Coldwater Creek! There are also some really terrific Etsy shops that I frequent and I have gotten some of the best service from them.

Thanks for participating in this giveaway and offering such a lovely prize. Thanks for not making us jump through hoops to enter!!

Have a great day,

I buy a lot of things online. Minerals, protein powder, books, clothes, etc. I use Ebay or etsy for lots of crafty things. Thanks for the giveaway! I would love to win!

I buy tons of stuff online. I seldom do brick and mortar any more. Amazon is great, and most of the online fabric stores I've tried have been great. My daughter and son in law have a little Etsy fabric store called Westwood Acres. They are small but growing and their service is terrific. Most fabric is shipped same day. Check them out!

Thanks for the chance to win. The bag is beautiful.

Sue said... #

I shop Etsy all the time and have found some great fabric there. Great prices and stuff I can't find around here.

Kate said... #

I buy from Amazon - almost all Christmas shopping was from there this year since I had a little baby and shopping locally was hard.

I have a hard time buying fabric online unless I've seen it in person first. This is somewhat of a problem because my local quilt stores don't really carry much of the fabric I like. Sigh. I guess it keeps my stash from getting out of control!

Really cute bag!!

I do order a lot online. I do a lot through Amazon, although I do like to support smaller venues like Etsy. I never have any problem returning items, and the vendors I contact if I have a problem always help out. I bought my iron (no steam for $15. LOVE), ice cream maker, bread machine, books, all kinds of stuff. I also buy fabric/sewing stuff online from a lot of places. Hawthorne, Fabric.com, Intrepid Thread, Pink Chalk, and more.

I would love to win this for my daughter, she could use it and LOVES that blue.

for online shopping, Amazon is good for notions, they have very good customer service. Otherwise, I love jhittlewholesale they have very good prices. For fabric, there are so many to choose from, but I tend to like to buy my fabric from my LQS when I can, to support local businesses. of course, if I lived were there were few to no LQS then online would be a great resource.

I love shopping on etsy - not only can you buy supplies in small quantities, but you get to connect with actual people. I have a couple of favourite sellers that I use to buy goodies for myself and friends as a treat. Much more fun than walking into a department store.

Thank you for a great prize and the chance to win it.

I've picked up a few cross stitch charts and supplies from online stores. I tend to shop at the really well known ones (123Stitch, ABCStitch) so I haven't ever had any problems.

I did get ripped off buying an Out-of-Print chart on ebay once. The seller never sent anything out.
